Roughan are competing in the NIBA Championships this coming Saturday in the Marketplace Theatre, Armagh.

The band are playing the testpiece, Resurgam by Eric Ball and is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest pieces ever written for Brass Band. The section begins at 4:15pm Saturday 31st October 2009.

There are 7 bands in our section which are:

Ballyduff Silver, Downshire Brass, Drogheda Brass, Lourdes Brass,  ROUGHAN SILVER,  Templemore, 3rd Carrickfergus.

This will be a keenly contested section and the band hopes to put in a good performance to reflect the hard work that has gone into this piece.

2 bands that our conductor, Keith Anderson has directed in the past are also competing this weekend, Murley in the Championship and St Marks in Grade 3.
